What does roadside assistance cover?
It covers the usual reasons a car stops: a flat battery, a flat tyre, an empty tank, keys locked inside and small faults that can be fixed by hand. Major repairs such as a failed gearbox or a snapped timing belt cannot be done at the roadside, so those cars are recovered to a workshop.
Do I need a membership to use it?
No. You pay only for the callout you need, with no annual plan, and the technician explains what the job involves before starting. If your insurer already includes roadside cover, you can still call us when their response time does not suit you.
What should I do while waiting at the roadside?
Switch on the hazard lights, place the warning triangle behind the car, and on a highway wait behind the barrier or well away from traffic. In summer, avoid sitting in a car with the engine off for long, as the cabin heats up within minutes; find shade if there is any. Keep your phone charged so the technician can reach you.
