Why does my AC cool while driving but not at traffic lights?
At standstill the condenser depends on the electric fan instead of air rushing through the grille. A weak fan or a condenser packed with dust and debris is the usual cause.
Should the compressor be repaired or replaced?
Some faults sit in the clutch or the control valve and can be fixed on their own. When the compressor is worn inside, replacement is the reliable choice, and the system is flushed so leftover debris does not ruin the new one.
How long will my car stay at the workshop?
Electrical and fan faults are often sorted the same day. Compressor and evaporator jobs can take one to three days, particularly when the dashboard has to come out to reach the evaporator.
