Engine bay heat
Under the bonnet in July it can pass 70°C. Heat speeds up grid corrosion and dries the electrolyte, which is why batteries here often last half as long as in Europe.

Before you pay for a new battery, know what is actually wrong. A proper test separates a tired battery from a weak alternator or something draining power overnight.
Our technicians test car batteries at your location in Dubai using a digital conductance tester that reports state of health, state of charge and cold cranking amps against the battery's rating. We then check the alternator's charging voltage under load and, if the battery keeps going flat, measure parasitic drain with the car locked. The test is free with any visit, and you get the printed or photographed result on WhatsApp.

Ask a technicianPick your car brand to see its models, which battery type they take, where it sits and whether it needs coding after fitting.
A car battery in the UAE usually lasts two to three years, against four to five in cooler countries. These are the six causes we see every day.

A ten-minute run to the supermarket with the AC on full takes more out of the battery than the alternator can put back. Do that daily and it slowly runs down.
Alarms, trackers and control modules draw power with the car locked. Three or four weeks in a hot car park is often enough to flatten a battery that was already tired.
A flooded battery in a start-stop car, or a smaller Ah rating to save money, wears out in months. So does a new battery on a German car that was never registered.
A weak alternator, a slipping belt or a bad earth strap undercharges the battery. Replacing the battery without checking these just repeats the failure.
White or green crust on the terminals adds resistance, so the starter gets less current. It looks like a dead battery and is sometimes fixed with a clean and tighten.

Car was dead on B2 of my building at 6am. Sent the pin, technician was there in 25 minutes, tested it, showed me the reading and fitted a new Amaron. Didn't even have to move the car.
They explained why the Patrol needs the bigger battery and didn't push the most expensive one. Paid with Tabby in four parts, which helped that week.
I thought it was the battery. Guy tested it and said the alternator wasn't charging properly. Saved me buying a battery I didn't need. Honest service.
The dealer quoted me a two-day wait. These guys came to the office car park, fitted an AGM and registered it with their laptop. No warning lights since.
Came back from three weeks abroad to a flat battery. The jump got it going and the test showed it was finished, so they replaced it on the spot. Clean job.
Replied on WhatsApp within a minute with two options and the warranty for each. Technician was polite and even cleaned the terminals.
Range Rover batteries are a pain to get to. He knew exactly where the battery was and had it done without any of the usual electrical errors afterwards.
Midnight call, car dead outside a friend's villa. Someone picked up straight away and the technician arrived in about half an hour. Very relieved.
Used a memory saver so I didn't lose any settings. Proper invoice with the warranty written on it. Will use again.

No. A battery can show 12.6V at rest and still collapse under the load of the starter, especially in heat. A conductance or load test measures how much current it can actually deliver, which is what decides whether the car starts.
Once a year until it is two years old, then every few months and always before the summer peak and before a long trip away. Heat does most of its damage quietly, so the test usually catches a weak battery before it leaves you stranded.
It is current the car keeps drawing after you lock it, from things like a dashcam wired to the battery, a faulty module that does not go to sleep, or an aftermarket alarm. A small drain is normal; a large one flattens a healthy battery within days.
When the problem is not the battery, our roadside team or partner workshops in Dubai take care of it, with pickup and drop-off.
