Which battery does the Jaecoo J7 use?
The petrol J7 uses a 12V maintenance-free battery, EFB where start-stop is fitted, in a size we confirm from the label. As the model is new to the UAE, we check fitment before bringing the replacement.
Does the Jaecoo J7 plug-in hybrid have a normal car battery?
It has a large high-voltage battery for driving plus a small 12V battery that runs the locks, screens and control units. The 12V is the one we test and replace; the high-voltage pack is a dealer item.
Will a battery change reset my Jaecoo settings?
Most personal settings are stored in memory and survive, but the clock, the window auto function and some screen preferences may need setting again. Where the car allows it, we connect a memory saver during the swap.
