Lincoln battery replacement in Dubai
Lincoln SUVs such as the Navigator and Aviator use large AGM batteries in the engine bay, managed by a Battery Monitoring System that controls how the alternator charges them. After a new battery goes in, that system should be reset so it stops charging as if the old battery were still fitted. We replace Lincoln batteries across the UAE and carry out the reset with a diagnostic tool.

American cars and BCI group sizes
US-built cars and trucks use BCI group sizes such as 48 (H6), 49 (H8), 65 and 94R (H7). Big V8s and full-size SUVs need high cold-cranking amps and reserve capacity.
- Desert trips with the AC running and accessories plugged in drain more than city use.
- Some heavy-duty trucks carry two batteries that should be replaced as a pair.
- Newer GM and Ford models have a battery monitor that benefits from a reset after fitting.
- Top-post and side-post terminals are not interchangeable without adapters.
Lincoln batteries: notes from our technicians
- 01
The Navigator (2018 onward) and Aviator (2020 onward) use H7/94R or H8/49 size AGM batteries to cope with Auto Start-Stop and heavy electrical loads.
- 02
The Battery Monitoring Sensor on the negative terminal needs a reset after replacement, or several hours of parking, to learn the new battery.
- 03
The Aviator Grand Touring plug-in hybrid still needs its 12V battery to wake up, so a flat one stops the car even with a charged high-voltage pack.
- 04
Power running boards, massage seats and ambient lighting keep modules awake for a while after locking, adding to standby drain.
Lincoln drivers frequently report a battery saver message or Auto Start-Stop that no longer engages, which is the car shedding electrical loads to protect a weak battery.

Lincoln battery questions
Question not here? Send a message and a technician answers, not a bot.
Does a Lincoln need a reset after a battery change?
Yes, the Battery Monitoring System on a Lincoln should be reset after a new battery is fitted, or charging and Start-Stop behave oddly until it relearns. Our technician performs the reset at your location.
What battery does a Lincoln Navigator use?
The 2018-onward Navigator normally uses an AGM battery in the H7/94R or H8/49 family, fitted under the bonnet. The technician reads the exact size and cold cranking amps from your existing battery before fitting the new one.
Why does my Lincoln battery go flat when parked at home?
Long gaps between drives in the heat, combined with modules that stay awake after locking, can drain a Lincoln battery within a few weeks. If you travel often, a battery test before leaving and a maintenance charger at home make a real difference.
How long does a Lincoln battery last in the UAE?
In UAE conditions a Lincoln battery typically lasts 2–4 years. Heat, short trips and long periods parked shorten that, so we recommend a test once the battery passes two years.
Lincoln battery flat?
The nearest technician is usually 20–35 minutes away, day or night, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
