Does a MINI battery need coding?
Registration is required on modern MINIs, and coding is needed only when the battery type or capacity changes from the original, for example from EFB to AGM. We do both on site with a diagnostic tool.
Can I fit a bigger battery in my MINI?
Only within the size the tray allows, and a change in capacity must be coded to the car so it charges correctly. In most cases the original capacity in the correct type is the best choice.
Is a MINI battery the same as a BMW one?
MINI uses BMW Group electrical systems, so the same battery types, sensors and registration process apply, though MINI batteries are often smaller. We bring the correct size for your model and register it the way we do for a BMW.
How long does a MINI battery last in the UAE?
In UAE conditions a MINI battery typically lasts 2–3 years. Heat, short trips and long periods parked shorten that, so we recommend a test once the battery passes two years.
